Tonight my wife and I played Wii Sports Resort until my face hurt from laughter.
I'm just not sure there are other consoles on the market that can have that affect.
So, Christmas is almost upon us. Is anyone hoping for any special gaming-related items this year?
My list: Sonic Colors, DKCR, Epic Mickey, Dragon's Lair Trilogy & GoldenEye 007.
Also, reminder, Site Chat tomorrow night at 8pm EST! See you there!

This past summer I actually passed out from laughing so hard whilst playing Little Big Planet. I later asked the doctor and he told me sometimes if you laugh so hard for an extended period of time the blood vessels in your neck can get pinched, cutting of the circulation to your brain for a few seconds. I've laughed an awful lot in my life, sometimes to the point where it starts to hurt but I've never had that happen before and as amusing a story as it makes I hope it never happens again (I may not be sitting next time for one reason).
I guess what I'm trying to say is that, at least depending on the person, such an experience isn't exclusive to any system but rather relies on the situation and the people with whom you are sharing the experience.
As for games, my top suggestions for friends/family...or at least the ones I remember...were Castlevania: Lords of Shadow, Metroid Other M, 3D Dot Game Heroes, Etrian Odyssey III and Sin & Punishment 2.
oh yes, EV, perhaps I should have added the words "on us" to the end of that 2nd sentence.
obviously any experience is not console exclusive. but FOR US the Wii has really facilitated experiences we never got out of gaming with such consistency and frequency.
so I take it you're looking forward to LBP2, eh?
I think you've got a very good list there... I think Lords of Shadow looks like an awesome action game even if it is not very "Castlevania"-y. but then again, that's what series reboots are all about, right?
obviously Other M is a top pick of mine from 2010. I've heard wonderful things about 3D DotGamesHeroes and S+P2 was very enjoyable during my limited time with it at the Nintendo World Store.
Can't say I know much about EOIII though. What's it like?
I can't say I'm hoping for any game in particular, but I'm interested to see if any game does show up.
