Via- Siliconera.com, Neku from the DS Square-Enix RPG, The World Ends With You, made a cameo in the TGS demo of the latest chapter in the Kingdom Hearts series; Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance.
The Siliconera writer explains that during Sora's half of the demo in Traverse Town, Sora stumbles upon Neku while searching for Riku, who, and I quote, "..jumps down and shows Sora the number on his hand." The site then mentions that Neku explains that he is in need of a partner to play the Reapers game. Which I'm sure fans of the series will understand the meaning of.
It should be noted that this is the very first time that a cameo has been made in a Kingdom Hearts game by a character not of the Final Fantasy family. It should be quite interesting to say the least.

I still want a real sequel to Kingdom Hearts 2, instead of all these remakes and side quests. Or a sequel to The World Ends with You. That was an even better game with fewer bad cutscenes.
KH1 is one of my favorite games of all time. Yet, although I own KH2 and KH:CoM for the PS2, I haven't even opened either of them =\
In spite of all that, I'm glad when more KH games get made so that in 5-10 years when I finally get around to playing them I can enjoy them all!!
@NinSage- I think that you not opening those games is a blessing in disguise. At least for KH2. That game I feel can be skipped over because you can view all the cut-scenes on youtube. If you really REALLY loved KH, and you were expecting that particular experience to continue story/gameplay-wise in KH2. You will be dissapoint. Just my opinion on that particular game. I've ranted on it too many times to count. KH1 remains the pinnacle of the series in my eyes, and they haven't matched it's quality.
The World Ends With You is one of the games I got with my DS. I still need to open that sometime...
