Well today's the day. The original Tri version of the game on the Wii is having its online multiplayer support switched off. I didn't play that version of the game much but the crew here at NinTemple had one last big session of the game the other night and had a whale of a time.
This support lives on in the Wii U's Ultimate version of the game. Maybe I'll do that someday. For now though, I'm here with the local-only 3DS version, taking a break from the missions and playing it like it was Animal Crossing or something. I run around the woods, looking at everything with the binoculars I just bought from the gal with the goods.

Game Night Wrap-Up and Video
Sunday's Game Night was a great success. We played some Brawl as planned and one participant (TheWon) was kind enough to capture the footage and edit it into this sweet video. Go check it out and give his youtube account some love!

After Brawl, we even managed to sneak in some Monster Hunter Tri fun. While playing with Maxi and Kathrine I even managed to meet my first HR 999 ever! It was pretty cool picking his brain about his many, many MH3 adventures. So, "Tahquil," cheers to you, sir!

Monster Hunter Tri Game night later tonight @ 6pm EST
Later today, as voted by you in the recent poll, we will be having our Monster Hunter Tri game night! We will be using the Greed 4, Gate 27 area for our hunts since it is out of the way. I will probably be in the chat an hour early before the hunts. I go by "Elipsia" in Tri now.

Sick today Monster Hunting tomorrow.
Well last night I wasn't feeling to well and that continues to today. I'm going to try to work through this today so I can Monster Hunt tomorrow. I will try to be there in the morning to hunt. There hasn't been any new sign ups on the forum since I posted about it before.
We will be meeting on the recruiting server in Greed 4, Gate 27 and City 27.If we have more than 4 at a time in a room then the overflow room will be Greed 4,Gate 27, City 28.

Site chat tonight at 8pm EST
Hey everybody we will be having site chat tonight at 8pm EST. Topics we are most likely are going to be talking about is the 1 year anniversary of Monster Hunter Tri game day which takes place on April 20th. The Quarter 2 Nintendo games and whatever else get brought up.

One year anniversary game day for Monster Hunter Tri
On April 20th we will be having a game day for Monster Hunter Tri. It will be all day. The room will be Greed 4, Gate 27, City 27. If there are more than four people, we will use City 28, 29 and so on for any extra hunters. We will also be hunting with folks from Nintendoworldreport.com.

Is online multiplayer good for new titles?
As most of you know I have been playing Monster Hunter Tri since June and well I can't get enough of it. I noticed something in me that I would like to talk about.
I don't think I have purchased a game since I got it so this is where I started thinking about if having online multiplayer in older games is good for newer titles that doesn't have any form of online play.
I think it can be a problem for newer titles because it can prevent you from trying out new games because you are heavily vested into the old game. In the end it is probably bad from a business perspective for other publishers.
Am I alone as far as not getting any new games after being so into a game that I haven't played anything else?
Does anybody else feel wrapped up into a game that you can't stop playing?
Please share your thoughts.
